Pacifico was first brewed in Mazatlan in 1900 by three German immigrants who brought their brewing expertise to the Mexican coast. The name itself, Cerveza Pacifico Clara, pays homage to the Pacific Ocean that defines the region.
Over the decades, the beer became synonymous with the surf culture of Baja California. American surfers traveling south in the mid-twentieth century discovered the beer and brought their love for it back across the border.
Today, it remains a symbol of laid-back coastal living. Its history is one of simple, high-quality ingredients and a commitment to maintaining the original recipe that has satisfied thirsty travelers for over a century.
